Election 2008: Making History

What a historic election night! The election of Barack Obama to the presidency was accompanied by the election of a new, progressive Congress.

With the support of our generous members, we helped send at least 5 Council-endorsed candidates to the Senate, and at least 20 to the House of Representatives. The gains will likely be even larer than these, as a number of the races are still too close to call.
